Submissions
Manuscripts

Pumpkin Vines is open for manuscript submissions in fiction and children's books. We are particularly interested in children's literature, fiction mysteries, thrillers, and chapbooks with at least 50 peer-edited poems on a single theme. Unfortunately, we are not accepting submissions in memoir, romance, graphic novel, self-help, or non-fiction.

Please use the Submission form on our website, PumpkinVines.com, indicating your genre, manuscript length, and a compelling one-paragraph summary to hook our review team onto your project. Our team will review your submission form, and if interested, we will reach out to you for additional information within 3-6 weeks. Full manuscripts will not be reviewed unless requested.

Submission Guidelines:

- We publish fiction narrative books exclusively set in New England.
- Children's literature should focus on familial relationships, the environment, conservation, animals, trauma, or behavior.

Include an outline of your book, a copy of your manuscript or sample text, description of the intended audience, and a brief bio.

Please do not mail your proposal; use our online submission form. We do not review or return unsolicited submissions sent by mail or delivered in person.

Services
Editing & Cover Design

Pumpkin Vines can direct you to independent editing services and provides in-house cover design services.

We can direct you to structural and copy-editing services upon request, helping authors prepare their work for submission is an important part of getting a work ready for market. For self-publishing authors, it's essential to complete structural/copy editing before submission.
